This tool will construct quizzes which call for 'written' responses from your students. It will allow you to specify up to two words to use in parsing each answer. You can establish various logical relationships between the words or you can exclude a word if you want. You cannot use quote marks in your questions but the single quote or apostrophe is OK.

Note that 'any number' means any number save zero and zero means that the word does not occur. .

This is based on first occurrence only. If 'black' is to come before 'cat', the phrase 'A black cat is a cat that is black' would evaluate as true.
