This is 3 examples of a 5 question test on Simple Trig that a physics teacher would find useful as a prelim to an introductory physics course.

Things to note:
- Only testMakPro has a PearsonEd 'style' response page. TC/PM's response page could easily be changed to be the same. testAssist does not use a response page.
- Problem 1 in TestAssist has two parts and only one in the other two. It is the only one that can have (unlimited) multiple parts.
- testAssist can not use html in the problem statement, hence its use of theta rather than the greek symbol used in the other two.
- TC/PM has inline hints available. It is the only one with this feature. However testAsist has feedback for incorrect answers.
- The students have to use the test application itself to work the problems in testAssist. When they finish it the problems are graded and any wrong answers are marked wrong in place and a coaching comment is inserted.
- Only testAssist reports the students work in addition to the results to the teacher. This is important in cases where the students will not also be tested in class since it is possible to get the right answer by the wrong method.
- Using testAssist or TC/PM the student can rework individual problems without redoing the whole test.
- In testAssist the student can insert comments for the teacher.
- Problem 5 in testMakPro is a direct follow up to problem 4 in the other two they are independent. Only testMakPro allows for problem chaining.
- TC/MP can be set up to construct a test from a question bank.
- In Problem 4 there are only two changing variables in testMakPro while there are 3 in the other two. testAssist can have any number.
- The multiple choice format in TC/PM gets around the problem of students using disparate values of physical constants. Also it is the only one (obviously) that does not need to specify the format of the answer.
- Even in the same problem the correct answer does not occur in the same place each time.
- testMakPro is the least flexible of the three and for that reason the easiest for the student to use. testAssist has the steepest learning curve for the student. For that reason the student must read and understand the associated Help file. It would be wise to print it out and keep it handy.
